APC, Atiku trade tackles over economic policies

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has criticized Atiku Abubakar, the presidential candidate of the African Democratic Congress (ADC), for his continuous criticism of President Bola Tinubu’s administration, particularly its economic policies. The APC claims that Atiku is a rejected politician who is using political rhetoric to gain support from the people, rather than presenting realistic policies.

The APC states that Tinubu’s administration has alleviated hardship caused by the previous Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) government, which Atiku once led. In response, Atiku vowed to mobilize Nigerians against what he perceives as the failed policies of the Tinubu administration. Atiku, speaking through his media aide, Paul Ibe, revealed that his policy blueprint is being reviewed and will address poverty, insecurity, and other issues.

He stated that he is taking a comprehensive look at the economy, insecurity, and other aspects where the APC-led Federal Government has fallen short. Atiku emphasized that the election is a referendum on the Tinubu government’s failures to protect and secure the lives and property of Nigerians. The APC defended Tinubu’s economic reforms, stating that they have brought succor to Nigerians and that Atiku's proposed policies are untested and cannot replace the current successful policies.

The APC emphasized that Atiku is not sincere in his projections and that the Nigerian people are intelligent and discerning enough to recognize the difference between good and bad policies.
