7 pelajar UiTM kena strok haba, cabaran lasak Kesatria batal serta-merta

In a harrowing incident at the 2026 Komander Kesatria Endurance Challenge (KKEC) program at UiTM Jengka campus in Pahang, seven UiTM students suffered heatstroke and required medical treatment and monitoring. Naib Canselor UiTM Shahrin Sahib@Sahibuddin reported that two students are still under close observation at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital in Shah Alam. The other five students are being treated and monitored at Hospital Jengka and Hospital Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah in Temerloh, Pahang.

Shahrin emphasized that UiTM is providing continuous communication with the involved hospitals and families to share updates on the students' health conditions. As a direct response to the incident, the university management decided to cancel all planned activities outside the KKEC 2026, prioritizing the safety, health, and well-being of the students.

Shahrin also pledged full cooperation with the authorities to assist in any investigation related to the incident and to conduct a thorough review of the safety procedures, health screenings, risk management, and emergency response measures.

To support the affected families, the university is mobilizing full assistance in terms of logistics, transportation, and management. Shahrin appointed Mohd Sazili Shahibi, Deputy Naib Canselor (Student Welfare), to continue monitoring the welfare of the injured students. The Vice Rector of UiTM Pahang branch, Azhan Hashim@Ismail, also attended the funeral proceedings for one of the students who passed away during the incident.

Shahrin appealed for the public to respect the privacy of the families and refrain from any unsubstantiated speculation.

Meanwhile, Fadhlan Fakhry Solana Mohd Fellimal, a UiTM Negeri Sembilan campus Seremban participant aged 21, was reported to have collapsed during the event and later died from cardiac arrest at Sultan Haji Ahmad Shah Hospital around 2 PM on the previous day. The initial police investigation found that Fadhlan suffered from breathing difficulties while participating in the event and was rushed to Hospital Jengka before succumbing to asphyxiation.
