2027: Radda pledges Katsina’s support for Tinubu’s re-election

Two support groups for President Bola Tinubu have begun discussions on a possible partnership to strengthen grassroots mobilisation ahead of the 2027 presidential election. The groups, the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA) and Tinubu Torch Bearers (TTB), released a statement on Saturday announcing their proposed collaboration.

The focus of the partnership would be on mobilising youths, women, and Nigerians generally to support Tinubu’s bid for re-election. The development came after a meeting between officials from TTB and REHACMA at the latter’s office in Abuja on Thursday. During the meeting, representatives from both organizations explored areas of mutual interest and possible collaboration on events, programmes, and grassroots activities.

Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, the Founder and National Coordinator of REHACMA, expressed the organization's willingness to partner with groups and individuals sharing its vision. Uwagboe commended Tinubu’s policies aimed at young people and stressed the importance of sustained public engagement for these initiatives. He also praised Dr. Mary Alile Idele, the APC National Women Leader and Convener of TTB, for her commitment to inclusive politics.

In response, Olivia Lonngren, the Director of Administration at TTB, expressed her organization's readiness to collaborate with REHACMA. Lonngren praised REHACMA's leadership, organizational drive, and growing impact, expressing optimism that the partnership would enhance engagement with young people, women, and Nigerians generally.

The proposed partnership would involve joint events, advocacy initiatives, sensitisation programmes, and other grassroots activities. Both organizations agreed to continue consultations to finalize the modalities and framework for their collaboration.
