2027: Tinubu support groups begin grassroots mobilisation

Two Nigerian political groups, the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals and Tinubu Torch Bearers, have initiated talks to form a partnership aimed at intensifying grassroots mobilisation for President Bola Tinubu ahead of the 2027 presidential election. In a statement released on Saturday, the groups announced that their collaboration would centre on mobilising young people, women, and Nigerians in general to back Tinubu's re-election bid.

This development came after officials from Tinubu Torch Bearers visited the Renewed Hope Agenda Continuity Marshals (REHACMA) office in Abuja on Thursday to explore potential areas of collaboration.

Upon receiving the delegation, Rt. Hon. Osawemwenhio Uwagboe, the Founder and National Coordinator of REHACMA, expressed the organisation's willingness to partner with groups and individuals sharing its vision. Uwagboe praised the inclusive politics of Tinubu's appointee, Dr. Mary Alile Idele, who leads the APC National Women Leader and Convener of Tinubu Torch Bearers.

Olivia Lonngren, the Director of Administration at Tinubu Torch Bearers, responded positively to the proposed partnership, praising REHACMA's organisational drive and growing impact. She highlighted that the collaboration would strengthen engagement with youths, women, and Nigerians generally, creating a stronger platform for sensitisation programmes and grassroots activities.

Both organisations agreed to continue discussions for finalising the terms and framework of their proposed partnership. They aim to collaborate on joint events, advocacy initiatives, sensitisation programmes, and other grassroots activities.
