You have no right to issue ultimatum to Umno, Tuan Ibrahim tells PKR

PAS deputy president Tuan Ibrahim Tuan Man argued against PKR issuing an ultimatum to Umno regarding their stance in the unity government. He emphasized that PKR, despite its desire to warn Umno, should be mindful of its position and the number of seats held by both parties. Umno currently holds more seats than PKR, Tuan Ibrahim noted, suggesting that PKR should not act with such a warning-like attitude.

He reiterated that in political cooperation, each party should respect the positions of others, explaining that Umno was particularly uncomfortable with PKR, DAP, and other partners' actions. PKR's Youth deputy chief, Nabil Halimi, had called for Umno to either fully commit to the Madani government or quit their posts for PN after Umno president Ahmad Zahid Hamidi suggested holding the 16th general election (GE16) earlier.

Tuan Ibrahim proposed that GE16 be held soon due to increasing political instability, open attacks, and ministry allocation conflicts. He described the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission's (MACC) decision to suspend the requirement for persons under investigation to wear orange attire in court as the right decision. The orange attire, he argued, gave the impression of guilt, which he believed was unjust for someone only recently accused and brought to court.
