SASEYC announces October date for aviation summit

The Southeast Aviation Summit and Eastwing Youth Competition, SASEYC 2026, organizers have set October 3, 2026 as the new date for the event. This date change was announced during a courtesy visit by the SASEYC team to Igwe Lawrence Agubuzu, the Royal Father of the Day. The summit, originally scheduled for September 26, is being organized by the Eastwing Youth Foundation, a non-profit arm of the Eastwing Aviation Institute.

Agubuzu, a former university chancellor and council chairman, endorsed the initiative and emphasized the importance of practical and specialized skills in aviation for young people. He encouraged them to focus on developing skills that could lead to meaningful careers, rather than solely relying on academic certificates. Agubuzu stressed the need for competence and precision in the aviation sector due to its direct impact on human lives.

He advised young aviation enthusiasts to learn from experienced professionals and veterans, highlighting that knowledge, competence, and continuous self-development could create opportunities for individuals regardless of their backgrounds. As part of the program, SASEYC aims to expose young people to aviation and related career opportunities, while also providing training, mentorship, and access to international learning opportunities.

The organizers have partnered with Sofema Aviation Academy in Bulgaria to offer participants professional aviation courses.
