Russian attacks kill 6, injure 51 over past day across Ukraine as Moscow rejects ceasefire

Russian attacks claimed six lives and injured 51 individuals across Ukraine over the past day, according to Ukrainian authorities on September 5. The assaults occurred despite Ukraine reportedly instructing its troops to suspend hostilities for four days ahead of anticipated visits by U.S. envoys to Kyiv and Moscow, in an attempt to rejuvenate peace negotiations.

Moscow had not acquiesced to the ceasefire, and no official agreement was declared. Russia unleashed ballistic missiles and 167 drones against Ukraine in the previous night, as per the Air Force. Air defenses neutralized or neutralized 128 Russian drones. Russian missiles and drones targeted 23 locations, with debris from destroyed targets falling at a single site.

In Dnipropetrovsk Oblast, four fatalities and six injuries were reported from Russian strikes across four districts. Two deaths and 27 injuries were documented in Kherson Oblast following Russian attacks. In Mykolaiv Oblast, three people sustained injuries from Russian drone attacks, including a 17-year-old girl, according to the regional military administration.

Civilian and transportation infrastructure, a shopping mall, a warehouse, and multiple vehicles sustained damage. In Kyiv Oblast, two people were injured in a Russian assault on Boryspil, as reported by Governor Tymur Tkachenko. Twenty-eight sites across five districts in Kyiv Oblast were damaged, including warehouses, schools, private residences, apartment buildings, vehicles, gas station equipment, and an administrative building.

The assaults persisted into the morning, causing further harm to at least five additional homes in the region. Seven individuals were injured in Russian attacks on Donetsk Oblast, as per local authorities. Six people were injured in Russian attacks on Zaporizhzhia Oblast, stated Governor Ivan Fedorov.
