‘Phones stuck to Delhi Metro’ reels catch DMRC’s eye, creators warned: ‘Viewing this with all seriousness’

The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has cautioned social media content creators against filming videos by placing their mobile phones against the windows of moving Metro trains, citing potential risks to both the creators and other passengers. DMRC officials have taken note of the growing trend, where some content producers are using train windows for their reel shots while the train is in motion.

This practice, according to the authorities, can cause inconvenience for fellow passengers, potentially lead to injuries, and pose a risk to the mobile devices themselves.

DMRC has expressed serious concern over the matter and has warned that any content creator found engaging in such filming will face necessary action. The issue has come to the forefront as short-form videos and social media content gain popularity, prompting creators to seek out unusual locations and moving backgrounds to make their videos more engaging.

The warning from DMRC follows the viral success of a video posted by content creator Nikhil Kochar, which showed him attaching his phone to a Delhi Metro train and running alongside it as the train gained speed. The video, set to the song "Manma Emotion Jaage," quickly gained traction, accumulating over 138 million views and 4.7 million likes on social media.
