Peacock Orders New Take On I'm A Celebrity... Get Me Out Of Here, With Maura Higgins And Rob Rausch As Hosts

Peacock is planning a new version of the popular reality show I'm a Celebrity... Get Me Out of Here for U.S. viewers. The updated version will feature Maura Higgins and Rob Rausch as co-hosts. The series, set in a dense jungle, will have celebrities team up with a non-famous friend or family member to face physical and psychological challenges.

The celebrities must either lead or follow their companions while enduring the harsh environment. The team that survives the most challenges will win a $100,000 prize. This new format is different from the original, which placed a group of celebrities in the jungle to compete and be eliminated one by one. Higgins, known for her appearance on Love Island and The Traitors, will compete on Dancing With the Stars with Mark Ballas.

Rausch, who previously won The Traitors Season 4, has also appeared on Love Island USA. This marks the third attempt to bring the British show to American television. The first adaptation aired on ABC in 2003, and NBC attempted it again in 2010, but both failed to generate enough interest for a second season.
