PAS will no longer surrender winnable seats, says Sanusi

PAS election director Sanusi Nor declared that the party will no longer allow its hard-earned seats to go to other parties in future elections. Speaking at the 72nd PAS muktamar in Kelantan, Sanusi emphasized that PAS would determine which seats are feasible for them to win. He asserted that giving away these seats to other parties is unacceptable, as it diminishes the party's political influence.

Sanusi criticized PAS for previously operating as election machinery for other parties, never truly translating its strength into political control. He urged PAS members to stop feeling inferior during negotiations with other parties, reminding them of the party's long political history and considerable strength. PAS president Abdul Hadi Awang had previously stated that the party aims to defend all the seats it won in previous elections, and urged the party to expand its presence in Pahang, Perak, Selangor, and Melaka.
