No trash talk: Salahdine Parnasse just wants to fulfill dream vs. Max Holloway

Salahdine Parnasse, a 24-2 MMA fighter with an impressive 1-0 record in the UFC, faced Dan Hooker in a high-stakes UFC Fight Night 287 main event at the Accor Arena. Parnasse, a former two-division KSW champion, had called for a top five opponent, and he had a specific target in mind: ex-UFC champion Max Holloway, who holds a 28-9 MMA record and 24-9 UFC record.

Parnasse told UFC News, "I want to fight Max Holloway because he s a legend," clarifying that his interest in Holloway was not trash talk but a genuine dream he had harbored for a long time.

Parnasse made his UFC debut headlining the event, and his performance was nothing short of impressive. He landed a body kick, followed by a perfect left hook, finishing the fight in the first round. Despite the pressure and the challenge of fighting in the UFC, Parnasse maintained his composure, stating, "Every fight is a different kind of pressure, and tonight was no different against Dan Hooker – so I ve really put myself in the top 10."

He even mentioned that he needed to re-watch the fight to recall the exact details, saying, "I threw the kick and then I threw a punch, and to be honest with you, I ve got to re-watch the fight, but I don t remember exactly everything."
