Miss World 2026: India makes it to Top 40; Nikita Porwal wows in floral gown

India's Nikita Porwal secured a spot in the Top 40 of the Miss World 2026 competition. This achievement came after she stunned the audience in a floral gown inspired by Princess Diana's iconic sapphire ring. The designer of the dress is Bhawna Rao, and the outfit features a blush pink hue that seems to bloom under the lights. Representing India at the 75th-anniversary edition of Miss World in Vietnam, Porwal brings a unique profile to the pageant that goes beyond the traditional mold.

She is a model, actor, and theatre artiste who has spent years honing her skills in performance and storytelling. With over 60 theatrical productions to her name, she is also a playwright and Creative Director of theatre company Rangrays. The gowns intricate floral embroidery, delicate hand embellishments, and soft luminous texture make it a standout piece, while its ethereal delicacy adds to its dreamlike quality.

The gown flows into a dramatic mermaid silhouette, creating movement with every step. Porwal's floral gown was described by Femina Miss India as soft in color, powerful in presence, and Indian in spirit. The dress was designed not just to be seen, but to be remembered. Earlier, Porwal wore the traditional Vietnamese Áo Dài before the Top 40 announcement.
