Bhopal, Madhya Pradesh: Madhya Pradesh Chief Minister Mohan Yadav met Surendra Singh Choudhary, widely known as 'Bittu Tabahi,' at his residence in the capital on September 5, 2026. The young man, who has been single-handedly cleaning the Ajnar River, received praise from the Chief Minister for his efforts to clean the polluted water source.

Yadav shared a video of their meeting on social media, in which he can be seen speaking with Choudhary and expressing his appreciation for his work. In the video, the Chief Minister can be heard saying, "Bahut achha kaam kiya hai" (Very good work). Choudhary's initiative to clean the Ajnar River has garnered attention due to his determination and perseverance, as he has been doing the work on his own without any official support, using his own money for the necessary supplies.

During their meeting, Choudhary also urged people to keep water sources clean and emphasized the importance of protecting rivers and their surroundings. Yadav lauded Choudhary's determination, stating that a big crowd is not necessary to bring about change, but a sincere effort can make a difference. The Chief Minister highlighted that Choudhary's work aligns with the spirit of the Jal Ganga Samvardhan Campaign, which aims to protect and revive water sources through public participation.
