Luis Campusano’s 2-run homer in 10th lifts Padres to 3-2 win over Yankees

Luis Campusano played a pivotal role in the win as he hit a two-run homer with one out in the bottom of the 10th inning. This clutch performance lifted the Padres past Arizona, who they had just moved ahead of in playoff position.

Earlier in the game, rookie Spencer Jones contributed to the Yankees' lead by hitting an RBI single in the bottom of the 7th inning. Jones, who played his high school ball at La Costa Canyon High in San Diego, was making his big league debut for the Yankees. After going 0 for 3, Jones managed to reach on a base hit and bring in eventual scoring run Luis García Jr. with a steal of third base.

The Yankees' pitching rotation for the following day saw Carlos Rodón, a left-hander with a 3.20 ERA, facing off against Robbie Ray, another left-hander with a 3.14 ERA, from the Padres. Both pitchers will look to build on their impressive seasons as they head into the next game.
