Field Marshal Munir reaffirms peace, prosperity of Balochistan central to state’s efforts amid uptick in attacks

Chief of Defence Forces and Chief of Army Staff Field Marshal Syed Asim Munir emphasized on Saturday that the peace, prosperity and well-being of Balochistan's residents are paramount to the state's endeavors, as reported by the military's media outlet. ISPR stated that Field Marshal Munir toured the Quetta Garrison and engaged with commanders and officers of field units.

He emphasized that a stable and secure environment would foster development, economic prospects and improved conditions for the province's populace. During the visit, he received an in-depth briefing on the security scenario, operational readiness and steps taken to ensure peace and stability in Balochistan. The army chief commended the professionalism, readiness and dedication of the troops, stressing the significance of ongoing collaboration among law enforcement bodies and other state entities to sustain peace and promote economic activity.

Field Marshal Munir also honored the sacrifices of fallen soldiers and acknowledged the commitment of officers and troops in fulfilling their responsibilities. Upon his arrival in Quetta, he was welcomed by the Quetta Corps commander.
