DVAC conducts raid at former minister K.N. Nehru’s residence

On September 5, 2026, officials from the Directorate of Vigilance and Anti-Corruption (DVAC) initiated searches at the residences of DMK MLA and former Municipal Administration Minister K.N. Nehru in Chennai and Tiruchi. In Chennai, investigations took place at four locations, including Nehru's residence in Mylapore and his brother Ravichandran's home, along with two other properties connected to them.

In Tiruchi, a DVAC team, headed by a Deputy Superintendent of Police, began the search around 6:30 a.m. at the former Minister's residence in Thillai Nagar. The team was scouring multiple locations associated with the former Minister, though the details of the case under investigation remained unclear at the time. Following the searches, DMK cadre and office-bearers, including former Minister Anbil Mahesh Poyyamozhi, gathered outside Nehru's house in Tiruchi.
