DPMM relieved 'not to concede too many goals' against JDT

Johor Darul Ta zim (JDT) coach Xisco Munoz commended his team's patience after overcoming DPMM FC's resilient defense, securing a 3-0 Super League victory at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium on Friday. Despite exerting dominance and dictating the pace from the kickoff, JDT faced resistance in the initial minutes before ultimately triumphing.

Munoz acknowledged DPMM's structured low-block setup, which created a significant tactical hurdle, limiting the space for his forwards to exploit. Nevertheless, the Spaniard lauded his players for demonstrating composure and patience in dismantling DPMM's defensive wall through precise combinations and efficient counter-pressing.

"It was a tough game. They have a good order in defence. It was difficult to open and score the first one. We had control of the game, moved the ball from side to side, and created important chances, but it took around 30 minutes to score," Munoz commented during a post-match press conference at the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium.

In contrast, DPMM assistant coach Helme Panjang praised his team's discipline and performance against the Super League powerhouse. However, he congratulated the players for not conceding too many goals. The match between JDT and DPMM was initially slated to take place at the Hassanal Bolkiah National Stadium but was relocated to the Sultan Ibrahim Stadium due to haze conditions in Bandar Seri Begawan.
