Cliftonville v Portadown

Cliftonville secured a 3-1 victory over Portadown in the Irish Premiership, returning to winning form at Solitude. Brian Healy was the star of the show, netting twice and assisting Ben Quinn's goal. Cliftonville bounced back from their 2-0 loss to Dungannon Swifts last weekend to claim their third league win of the season. Portadown, however, remained winless after five matches.

Cliftonville took the lead in the first half when Dean McMaster fed the ball to Healy, who then scored his first goal of the season. Despite Portadown's efforts, including Peter Morrison's saves and Rory Hale's disallowed effort, Cliftonville extended their lead with a header from Healy in the second half. Liam McStravick also came close for Cliftonville prior to halftime, but it was Healy who added a second goal after 56 minutes.

Portadown managed to score once through Fyfe, but Cliftonville held strong, with Liam McStravick and Ahu Obhakhan also testing the Portadown goalkeeper. Substitute Joe Gormley came close to scoring a fourth goal late in the match, but Cliftonville's goalkeeper, Barry, managed to deny the Reds.
