Chery Q EV Launch Date Announced in Pakistan

Chery Master Pakistan will unveil its all-electric new-energy vehicle, the Chery Q, at the Pakistan Auto Show (PAPS) 2026 on September 18. The launch coincides with a surge in the demand for electric vehicles in Pakistan's automobile market, with the NEV segment expanding by 392% in FY2025-26, constituting around 15% of the overall market.

The Chery Q is engineered for urban use, targeting consumers who seek a practical, everyday car for commuting. It is equipped with a 42.7 kWh battery, offering a claimed driving range of up to 400 kilometers and an efficiency of up to 9.4 kilometers per unit. The vehicle's length is 4,195 mm, and it boasts a 2,700 mm wheelbase, providing an urban-friendly footprint and spacious interiors.

Advanced technology features include Level 2 Advanced Driver Assistance Systems, Automatic Parking Assist, a 15.6-inch 2.5K display, mobile connectivity, and Vehicle-to-Load functionality. Chery Master Pakistan is leveraging Pakistan's rapidly growing rooftop solar market, positioning the Chery Q as a way for households to utilize surplus solar energy for charging.

The economics suggest that households with rooftop solar installations could significantly reduce their annual energy costs for vehicle operation, potentially down to around Rs30,000. As Pakistan imports substantial solar PV capacity, the economic benefits of the Chery Q could become increasingly significant. The Chery Q's launch is set to expand Chery Master Pakistan's presence in the new-energy vehicle segment, adding an urban electric mobility option to the company's growing product portfolio.
