Boise State detoured on the way to play No. 2 Oregon because of inclement weather

Eugene, Oregon (AP) — The Boise State Broncos encountered a detour en route to their game against No. 2 Oregon at Autzen Stadium due to challenging weather conditions. The team's charter flight from Boise was forced to divert north to Portland due to the poor weather. Upon landing in Portland around 3 p.m. local time, the Broncos had to wait for buses to transport them back to their hotel, which was approximately 120 miles away, and they arrived around 8 p.m.

The Broncos had been scheduled to play Oregon at 12:30 p.m. on Saturday. The inclement weather forced the Broncos to adjust their travel plans, as the Eugene Airport's longer runway was closed for construction, making it difficult for the team's jet to land in Eugene. After multiple attempts to land at Eugene Airport, the team ultimately opted for the more suitable Portland Airport.
