Bengaluru: Delivery executive attacked, robbed
When he stopped near the New BEL Road-Sanjeevappa Colony Cross to take a turn, as a car was ahead of him, an unidentified scooter carrying three men, aged around 20, reportedly came and stopped beside him.
A 36-year-old delivery executive named Bitopan Deka was assaulted and robbed in Bengaluru on September 2. The incident took place in Sadashivanagar police station limits around 2.23 a.m. when Deka was delivering groceries to Sanjeevappa Colony near Mattikere on his electric scooter. As he stopped near New BEL Road-Sanjeevappa Colony Cross to turn, a scooter with three men, believed to be in their twenties, pulled up behind him.
One of the men allegedly disembarked with a knife, approached Deka, and forcefully took his scooter key. Demanding money, the assailant threatened Deka to hand over his cash. When Deka refused and said he would call the police, he was allegedly stabbed by the attacker. The suspect then took the groceries and scooter key, fled the scene, leaving Deka shocked and unable to recall the suspect's scooter's registration number.
The police registered a complaint and are investigating to identify and apprehend the three unidentified suspects.
