Authorities Seal 10 Illegal Housing Schemes in Major City

The Charsadda Tehsil Municipal Administration has sealed ten housing schemes without proper legal permits in a major city, intensifying efforts to curb unauthorized developments. Additionally, the authority has issued notices to thirty-two other housing schemes lacking the necessary approvals. Deputy Commissioner Fazal Rahim Marwat initiated the action on his directives.

Inspections by Assistant Additional Commissioner Nida Shams and a TMA team revealed the illegal status of the ten sealed sites, which included housing schemes, colonies, townships, and plotting areas. Officials evaluated the legal standing and records of these properties during the inspections. Authorities have also been instructed to file legal action against schemes violating the rules.

The official list includes the names of individuals linked to the schemes, though criminal liability has not been determined yet. The legal standing of each property will be determined based on the records and legal proceedings. The administration advises citizens to confirm the approval status and legal papers of any housing scheme with the relevant authorities before investing in a plot, highlighting the potential financial and legal risks associated with unapproved developments.
