Athletics hit 4 home runs in 3rd inning of 7-6 victory over Mariners

Zack Gelof was instrumental in the Athletics' 7-6 victory over the Seattle Mariners, contributing to a five-run third inning that included four home runs hit by the A's. This impressive display of power helped the Athletics secure a crucial win on Friday night. Max Muncy, Alika Williams, and Jeff McNeil also went deep in the inning, with Muncy driving in the tiebreaking run.

The Athletics, now on a three-game winning streak, have won three straight games for the first time since early June. Brady Basso (1-2) stepped in for Seattle in the third and pitched three innings of relief, securing his third career win. Hogan Harris closed the game for his 15th save. Despite Logan Gilbert's (11-9) performance giving up all seven A's runs, he reached the milestone of 1,000 innings pitched with Seattle.

Josh Naylor provided the Mariners' only hits, including an RBI single in the eighth inning. Cal Raleigh hit two runs, including a two-run homer and scored three times. The A's started the third inning down 2-0, but Muncy's first-pitch line drive to left field sparked the rally, leading to four consecutive A's homers and a 7-6 win.
