Artist Mohammed Ayazuddin Patel to attend cultural exchange, workshop in Italy

Internationally renowned artist and photographer Mohammed Ayazuddin Patel from Kalaburagi, India, has been selected to take part in an artistic exchange event in Venice, Italy. The 'International Collaborative Art Performance & Sculpture Workshop', titled 'Art Beyond Borders: A Creative Dialogue Between India and Italy', will take place from September 17 to 20.

The three-day gathering, organized jointly by S.M.D. Foundation and H.U. Venezia, will gather 11 distinguished Indian artists, including Patel, alongside prominent European artists. The workshop's aim is to bridge Indian and European cultures through collaborative performances, sculpture, dialogue, and creative exchange. The Venice program is part of a 15-day European study tour covering France, Germany, the Netherlands, Belgium, Switzerland, and Italy, with stops in Florence, Rome, and Vatican City.

Patel will visit renowned museums, galleries, and monuments, including the Louvre, the Van Gogh Museum, the Sistine Chapel, the Accademia Gallery, and the Colosseum. A distinguished scholar on the art, architecture, and history of Deccan dynasties, Patel has received several awards, including the National Lalit Kala Award (2014), the CCRT National Fellowship, and the Karnataka Lalit Kala Academy Senior Fellowship (2018).

With extensive travel experience across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East, Patel is well-equipped to foster connections between Indian and European artistic communities.
