Zamfara appoints new Head of Civil Service

Zamfara State Governor Dauda Lawal has officially appointed Shehu Baraya as the new Head of Service for the state's civil service, effective immediately, according to a statement released by the Secretary to the State Government, Abubakar Nakwada. This announcement was signed off by Suleman Ahmad Tudu, the Senior Special Assistant (Media) for the Office of the Secretary to the Zamfara State Government. Baraya replaces Yakubu Haidara, who recently retired from his position within the state's civil service.

The newly appointed Head of Service brings a wealth of experience to the role, as he is a seasoned civil servant with a strong background in public administration. Over the course of his career, Baraya has held key positions as a Permanent Secretary in various ministries. Prior to his recent appointment, he served as the Permanent Secretary of the Zamfara State Civil Service Commission.

Upon learning of Baraya's new appointment, Governor Lawal expressed his appreciation for Haidara's service and the positive impact he has had on the development of the state's civil service. He also wished Haidara a successful post-service life. In addition to thanking Haidara, Governor Lawal directed Baraya to utilize his extensive experience to foster professionalism, reinforce discipline, boost productivity, and enhance efficiency within the civil service. This directive aligns with the Rescue Agenda of Governor Lawal's administration.
