Why I once evicted my son from home – Patience Ozokwor

Veteran Nollywood actress, Patience Ozokwor, also known as Mama G, has expressed her belief that parents should not shelter their children from hardship and hard work. She stated that denying a child the opportunity to experience these challenges is the worst possible thing a parent can do. In an interview with media personality Femi Baba, Mama G shared a personal anecdote about evicting her son from their home to force him to earn a living for himself.

She emphasized that when parents are no longer around, children may start fighting over their inheritance. To prevent such disputes, she told her son, "My house isn't yours. Go and work for your own." Mama G's disciplined upbringing contributed to her children's success, and she advised parents not to deny their children the experience of struggle and hard work out of concern.
