Virender Sehwag details 10-year connection to Neem Karoli Baba after watching Hanuman Ansh

Cricketer Virender Sehwag has detailed his 10-year connection to revered guru Neem Karoli Baba, also known as Maharaj ji, after watching the devotional film Hanuman Ansh. The film, which stars Shobhinav Satya as Neem Karoli Baba, has been a massive success at the domestic box office, grossing over Rs 85 crore so far. Sehwag described Hanuman Ansh as a perfect glimpse into the life of Maharaj ji, praising its captivating storytelling and tribute to the spiritual figure.

He revealed that he first learned about Maharaj ji from longtime friends around 10 years ago, and since then, he has been deeply attracted to the guru's personality, empathy, and the transformative impact he has had on his followers. Sehwag particularly enjoyed a scene in Hanuman Ansh where a person calls Neem Karoli Baba "Bhola" (Lord Shiva) when he sees a snake wrapped around his neck, and Maharaj ji himself acknowledges the beauty is in the eyes of the beholder.

Despite the film's modest budget and limited release, Hanuman Ansh has proven to be the most profitable Indian film of the year, outperforming even some major blockbusters.
