Venkaiah Naidu praises Cattamanchi’s contribution to Telugu literary criticism

Former Vice-President M. Venkaiah Naidu honored Cattamanchi Ramalinga Reddy's significant contributions to Telugu literary criticism at an event organized by Vignan Educational Institutions. The occasion took place on Sri Krishna Janmashtami, and the highlight was the release of Velamala Simmanna's critical study, Abhinava Vimarsaku Margadarshi Cattamanchi, marking Simmanna's 100th publication.

Naidu, who delivered the keynote address, described Reddy as a pioneer of Telugu literary criticism and praised the work as a scientific and authoritative critique. The book, published post-Andhra University's centenary in April, emphasized the need for preserving and promoting the Telugu language. Yarlagadda Lakshmi Prasad, the event's presiding writer, expressed hope that the volume would aid students in competitive exams and suggested a monthly lecture series on language and literature. Vignan Educational Institutions CEO Srikanth also addressed the gathering.
