VDM apologises to security agencies over NBA speech

Nigerian activist VeryDarkMan, also known as Martins Vincent Otse, has apologized to security agencies, including soldiers, police, customs, and immigration personnel, over his controversial remarks made at the Nigerian Bar Association’s 66th Annual General Conference. In a video shared on Friday, Otse expressed regret for his speech where he described security personnel as "unknown gunmen," admitting that he was not fair to those risking their lives to protect Nigerians.

Otse emphasized that his intention was to highlight corruption and sabotage within the security forces, not to discourage or offend security personnel. He apologized to the Chief of Defence Staff and the leadership of the security agencies, assuring them that not all personnel were involved in misconduct. Otse maintained that there were still "a lot of good people" within the security agencies despite his allegations against some individuals.
