Trump slams critics over US ammunition shortage claims amid Iran war

On Thursday, US President Donald Trump criticized individuals he labeled as "treasonous" for alleging that the United States is experiencing a shortage of weapons during its ongoing conflict with Iran. Trump dismissed these reports in a post on his Truth Social platform, stating that the US possesses "virtually unlimited amounts" of ammunition."The individuals and media outlets constantly emphasizing that we have no ammunition (and they are 100% incorrect!) are actually acting against their nation.

Their motive is to see the United States lose a war that we are certain to win instead of seeing me win," Trump asserted. He further emphasized that the US has "virtually unlimited amounts of Mid to High Grade Ammunition," which significantly exceeds its requirements for this or any other conflict. Trump also stressed the US efforts to amass weapons for future contingencies, highlighting that they are being procured for the United States and its allies, with sales to allies expected to resume soon.

Additionally, Trump claimed that the previous administration under Joe Biden provided Ukraine with more weapons at no cost than the current administration has utilized in the Iran war. He noted that "hundreds of Billions of Dollars was given to Ukraine and NATO, free of charge, that Europe would have paid for – If they were only asked, but we will be asking for that money, though somewhat belatedly."
