Teen TVET student found drowned after disappearing while crab hunting in Melaka

Melaka authorities have confirmed the tragic death of a 16-year-old TVET student who drowned while crab hunting in the coastal reclamation area near Pantai Klebang. Muhammad Arif Daniel Nizamuddin, the youngest of two siblings, was found deceased near Pulau Upeh at around 7:20 pm yesterday. According to eyewitnesses, the teenager was swept away by strong waves or ventured into deeper waters and disappeared.

He was reportedly accompanied by a friend, who also disappeared during the incident. The Search and Rescue team arrived at the location shortly after the teenager was reported missing to retrieve his body. Identification of the victim's body was completed by his family, and the body was later handed over to the police. The Melaka Hospital Forensic Department is set to conduct a post-mortem examination today.
