Simmons throws 4 TD passes in debut as No. 25 Missouri beats Arkansas-Pine Bluff 54-14

Austin Simmons made his Missouri debut, throwing for 252 yards and four touchdowns in a 54-14 victory over Arkansas-Pine Bluff. The No. 25 Tigers dominated the game, with Simmons completing 19 of 19 passes through the air. Donovan Olugbode was Simmons' favorite target, catching eight passes for 116 yards and scoring twice. Jamal Roberts contributed 47 rushing yards and a touchdown.

The Tigers overpowered Arkansas-Pine Bluff, who played without starting running back Ahmad Hardy, who is recovering from a gunshot wound. Garrison Davis and Jack Schierholz started at quarterback for Arkansas-Pine Bluff, but neither performed well. Missouri's Sterling Webb played only one day after being granted a temporary restraining order allowing him to play, as the NCAA tried to block his participation.
