Shangri-La Qaryat Al Beri is an oasis of tranquility situated in the bustling city of Abu Dhabi. This luxurious resort offers a unique escape from the chaos of modern life by providing guests with the opportunity to embark on private abras and traverse the serene canals that wind through the property. The resort embodies an old-world charm, evident in its traditional decor, vintage telephone booths, and the charming abra rides available to guests.

Upon arrival, guests are greeted by a complimentary selection of dates, gahwa (Arabic coffee), and a warm atmosphere in the lobby. The resort spans over 161 apartments and six villas, ensuring a diverse range of accommodations for visitors. During my stay, I was delighted by the resort's emphasis on hospitality and tradition. The staff treated me and other guests with warmth, reminiscent of the region's enduring allure. I sampled local dishes from the resort's restaurants, including Arabic favorites like batata harra, kofta, and shish tawouk. The highlight of my culinary experience was the Pi Pa duck, a flavorful dish that perfectly complemented the accompanying bao and peanut sauce.
