Sacyr se impone en la puja por la autopista Libertadores de Chile

Spanish construction firm Sacyr has emerged victorious in the bidding process for the Chilean Autopista Libertadores de Chile, surpassing offers from Abertis and Acciona. The 800 million euro investment project, known as the Route 57 highway, sees Sacyr presenting the most advantageous deal to the Chilean government. The Spanish company has outbid the current concession holder Abertis, as well as a consortium led by Acciona.

Chile has disqualified a Chinese consortium's offer. The project encompasses the construction of a new Chacabuco Tunnel and the expansion of the route with the addition of additional lanes. The concession period extends up to 49 years. With this new asset, Sacyr confirms its status as the leading concession platform in Chile, managing over 1,000 kilometers of roads, five international airports, two hospitals, and five water projects.
