Sal Stewart, of the Cincinnati Reds, was named the National League Rookie of the Month for August on Thursday, Sept. 3. He also won the award in April. Stewart, 22, hit .304 (35-for-115) with eight homers, 21 RBIs, two doubles, seven walks, 21 runs scored, a .530 slugging percentage and a .349 on-base percentage in 29 games.
