Belgian CleanTech startup Octave.energy has secured €10 million in Series A funding to expand its Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) and Energy Management System (EMS) offerings throughout Europe. The funding, led by SPDG Growth, a family office of the Périer-D’Ieteren family, was supplemented by investments from imec.istart, BNP Paribas Fortis, and KBC.
Octave.energy's unique approach combines BESS with EMS, enabling businesses to maximize their use of solar energy, manage peak consumption, and optimize their participation in energy markets. Since its launch in 2020, the company has delivered battery systems totaling over 200 MWh and served more than 400 clients, ranging from SMEs to large corporations.
With this new capital, Octave.energy aims to hire sales and operations teams in the Netherlands, France, and Germany, while continuing to grow via its network of installation partners. The first projects are already active in Luxembourg, the Netherlands, and Spain, with further development of its EMS and asset management platforms to ensure long-term battery performance.
The Belgian CleanTech company reported €16 million in revenue in 2025, making it now profitable for three consecutive years.
