Huawei recently unveiled its latest smartwatch, the Watch 6 series, at a major launch event. This year's release includes a new Pro model alongside the standard version. The standard Watch 6 features 42mm and 46mm sizes with either an aluminium alloy or stainless steel case, while the Pro model comes in 43mm and 46mm sizes with a titanium alloy case.
The 43mm size in the Pro model is available in a standard white colour or a special ceramic design. The devices utilize 1.38-inch and 1.5-inch LTPO 2.0 AMOLED displays with a pixel resolution of 466 x 466 and a peak brightness of 3,500 nits. Huawei claims that the 42mm and 43mm models can last up to three and seven days, respectively, while the 46mm model can last four and a half days to 11 days with battery saver mode.
The Watch 6 series is equipped with X-TAP technology, which includes an ECG monitor, 12-channel PPG sensor, and pressure sensor for accurate health readings. It also introduces a "physical Readiness" feature that assesses the user's body upon waking and helps them plan their day for optimal work-life balance. Other features include quick flip gesture control, two phone pairing, eSIM capability, Safety Check for location sharing, NFC payment methods, a golf mode, the Expedition app, and AI workout analysis charts. The company has yet to announce the price or availability of the Watch 6 series.
