Nashik: 84 Religious Organisations Complete Online Registration For Simhastha Kumbh 2027

NASHIK: A total of 84 religious and charitable organisations have successfully registered for the Simhastha Kumbh Mela 2027 through a QR code-based single-window system. The verification process is underway, according to Nashik District Collector Ayush Prasad. The state government has pledged to provide infrastructure support worth up to ₹15 lakh to eligible organisations.

Applications were accepted between August 19 and September 3, 2026, and no funds have been disbursed yet. The registered organisations comprise 45 Sansthans, 13 Ashrams, 12 Akhadas, six temples, five Maths, and other religious institutions. Out of the 84 registered entities, 71 hail from Nashik district, with 35 from Nashik taluka and 20 from Trimbakeshwar.

Further registrations have come from Sinnar, Igatpuri, Malegaon, Chandwad, Dindori, Niphad, Kalwan, as well as organizations from outside Nashik and Maharashtra, including Shri Saibaba Sansthan from Shirdi and religious groups from Prayagraj, Ahmedabad, Chhatrapati Sambhajinagar, Pune, Thane, Nandurbar, and Jalgaon. Thirty-one organisations have requested infrastructure facilities worth about ₹5.68 crore, with the highest request amounting to ₹77.1 lakh.

Collector Ayush Prasad has tasked Resident Deputy Collector Rohitkumar Rajput with conducting physical verifications of the organisations and their infrastructure needs. The finalized data will aid in planning crowd management, healthcare, sanitation, traffic control, and Sadhugram facilities. The administration urges the remaining organisations to complete their online registration as soon as possible.
