Menteri agama mahu tindakan diambil terhadap drama papar babak sensual

The Minister of Religion, Zulkifli Hasan, has urged agencies to conduct a thorough review and take action if it is proven that a drama depicting sensual scenes and manipulation is released for the sake of art or social awareness. Addressing concerns over the public's unease, he explained that while the intention to convey reality may be understood, the alarming presentation and use as a marketing tool risk undermining the core message.

The minister called on related agencies to conduct a comprehensive review and take action if the content is found to violate guidelines. He warned that the spread of scene clips on social media could normalize bad habits in society and negatively impact the emotional and moral development of youth. Artists and media platforms are reminded not to prioritize ratings and commercial profits over upholding religious integrity in their work.

The Ministry of Religion, in collaboration with the Malaysia Islamic Development Department (Jakim) and related agencies, plans to strengthen their review of content based on the JAKIM Guidelines (JAKIM Bil. 4/2015) to preserve religious dignity. Zulkifli emphasized that great art is art that touches the soul without crossing sharia boundaries, as every work watched by millions of people will ultimately be accountable before Allah SWT.
