MCE lobbies for 30 motorbikes to boost Nkwanta South NDC grassroots work

Nkwanta South's Municipal Chief Executive, Joseph Awal Antwi, has sought 30 motorbikes from friends to bolster the National Democratic Congress (NDC) grassroots operations in the constituency. These motorbikes were handed over to NDC officials by the Oti Regional Minister, John Kwadwo Gyapong, and constituency Member of Parliament, Geoffrey Kini.

The donation aims to improve party engagement, particularly in remote rural areas, by enhancing mobility for outreach programs and other NDC activities. Mr Awal emphasized that the motorbikes should be seen as strategic logistics to bolster party efforts on the ground. He pointed out that insufficient logistics, especially motorbikes, had been a significant hurdle in effective grassroots engagement in the past.

Drawing on his experience as a former Constituency Communications Officer and Election Director, Mr Awal expressed his gratitude for the gesture, seeing it as a way to contribute to the party's operations in Nkwanta South. NDC officials, including Geoffrey Kini, commended the MCE for the initiative and urged party members to remain united and committed.

The Oti Regional Minister and Mustafa Gbande also attended the event, praising the MCE's efforts and encouraging other MMDCEs to support logistics and development needs.
