Made in the Emirates: ROX begins ADAMAS vehicle production in Abu Dhabi

ROX has initiated vehicle production at its Advanced AI Manufacturing Centre in Abu Dhabi, with the first three ROX ADAMAS vehicles bearing the "Made in the Emirates" label. This marks a significant milestone in the company's localization and expansion efforts within Abu Dhabi. The new facility bolsters a partnership between ROX and the Abu Dhabi Investment Office, aligning with the company's plan to localize operations across supply chains, technology, and design.

The venture is backed by the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology under the Make it in the Emirates initiative, in line with the National Strategy for Industry and Advanced Technology, Operation 300Bn. This strategy aims to bolster the UAE's position as a global hub for advanced industries. Hasan Jasem Al Nowais, undersecretary of the Ministry of Industry and Advanced Technology, emphasized the UAE's position as a leading global destination for future industries.

The new facility is projected to produce 20,000 vehicles in 2027, with a capacity to increase to 300,000 annually by 2030, catering to both domestic and international markets. ROX's venture in Abu Dhabi exemplifies how industrial investments can drive local production, enhance industrial capabilities, and spur global growth, according to Mohammad Ali Al Kamali, chief trade and industry officer at the Abu Dhabi Investment Office.

The facility, occupying 10,000 square meters in the Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group, facilitates the local assembly of over 80 vehicle components, complete assembly, calibration, rain testing, road testing, and final inspection. It also bolsters ROX's local manufacturing prowess and deepens its ties with Abu Dhabi's automotive sector.

Jarvis, the founder and CEO of ROX, expressed excitement about the new manufacturing center, viewing it as a starting point for the company's global expansion from Abu Dhabi.
