iPhone Ultra, iPhone 18 Pro, and More: Apple's September 9 Event Preview

Apple's highly anticipated September 9 event will see the unveiling of several new products, including the first foldable iPhone, new Apple Watches, AirPods, and more. This will be the first time Apple has introduced a foldable device to its lineup.

The highly-anticipated "iPhone Ultra," or iPhone 18 Pro, will be one of the key highlights of the event. Rumors suggest it may be called the iPhone Ultra and will feature a unique book-style foldable design with an iPad-like layout when opened. The outer display will be ~5.5 inches when closed and unfold to a larger 7.8-inch OLED display.

Apple's foldable iPhone is rumored to have a 2nm A20 Pro chip, making it around 18% faster and 30% more power-efficient than the A19 Pro. It will also have a Touch ID side button, as there is reportedly no space for the TrueDepth camera system for Face ID. The device will include front cameras for both inner and outer displays.

The foldable iPhone will reportedly cost at least $2,000, with higher-capacity models potentially reaching $2,500. Apple plans to support multitasking, side-by-side apps, and sidebars, much like the iPad. However, the color options may be limited to silver/white and a deep indigo shade.

Meanwhile, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max models will retain the design elements of their predecessors, with potential upgrades such as a larger battery, a smaller Dynamic Island, and a variable aperture lens for the main rear camera.
