Injured Osimhen scores in Galatasaray’s 3-2 win over Istanbul Basaksehir

Nigerian striker Victor Osimhen scored his sixth goal of the season for Galatasaray, but his injury meant he had to be substituted in the 17th minute of the match. Galatasaray emerged victorious with a 3-2 win over Istanbul Basaksehir on Friday. The Turkish champions took the lead in the 16th minute, capitalizing on an attacking move.

However, Osimhen was forced off with an injury shortly after. Barış Alper Yılmaz came on for the Nigerian forward. Istanbul Basaksehir equalized in the 66th minute through Eldor Shomurodov's penalty. Super Eagles legend Daniel Amokachi recently earned a coaching license in Morocco. Galatasaray regained the lead five minutes later when Lucas Torreira scored in the 71st minute.

Despite a late comeback by Istanbul Basaksehir, Gabriel Sara secured the win for Galatasaray in the 90th minute with a free-kick. The victory maintains Galatasaray's impressive start to the season, while concern mounts over Osimhen's injury situation following his early exit.
