Horizon Aircraft appoints Tom Hearne to board of directors

Horizon Aircraft Ltd., a Canadian aerospace company, has appointed Tom Hearne to their Board of Directors and as Chair of the Audit Committee, effective immediately, according to a press release. Hearne is replacing Trisha Nomura, who resigned from her positions due to personal reasons. Nomura will remain a shareholder and support the company in an advisory capacity.

Hearne boasts over 30 years of experience in senior executive roles and board memberships within both public and private technology companies. Currently, he serves as CEO and director of ARB Labs, an AI technology firm catering to the gaming industry, and as director and Chair of the Audit Committee for the publicly traded Enthusiast Gaming Holdings.

Prior to his current roles, Hearne held positions as CEO and director of Tiidal Gaming Group, CFO and director of Sportech PLC, and CFO of Score Media. Throughout his career, he has overseen financings exceeding $500 million in value. Hearne is a Chartered Professional Accountant and a member of CPA Ontario, holding an MBA from the Schulich School of Business at York University.

Horizon Aircraft specializes in developing a hybrid-electric VTOL aircraft through its Cavorite X7 program, covering manufacturing, testing, and certification stages.
