Hadi tepis dakwaan campur tangan keputusan PN

In an address to reporters, PAS President Hadi Awang denied accusations that he interfered in Perikatan Nasional (PN) decisions using his position as PAS leader. Speaking at a media briefing following the 72nd PAS muktamar in Kelantan, Hadi emphasized that PN makes decisions through consensus. He noted that while he often shares his views, that does not equate to meddling in PN's decision-making process.

Hadi acknowledged that PAS allows members to voice their opinions, contrasting this with some parties where members vote unanimously. He clarified that PAS's role in PN is less pronounced, particularly since a heated dispute between PAS and Bersatu emerged. Earlier this month, Hadi announced PAS's agreement to keep Bersatu's former deputy president, Hamzah Zainudin, as the opposition leader, which drew criticism from Bersatu.

Additionally, Hadi announced ongoing dialogues with the Barisan Nasional on handling the Melaka PRN (People's Justice Party) scenario. He mentioned that the talks have commenced but have not concluded. When questioned about PAS candidates for Prime Minister, Hadi stated that the matter will be addressed when the time is appropriate, as the number of seats held by parties is still unknown. PAS plans to nominate a representative to the Umno General Assembly next week, a role yet to be determined.
