Eain Yow stuns world No. 12 Egyptian to reach London Classic semis

KUALA LUMPUR – Malaysian snooker player Ng Eain Yow stunned world No. 12 Egyptian Youssef Soliman to advance to the London Classic semi-finals on Monday. The 28-year-old Malaysian secured his place in the second-round match after a hard-fought victory, winning 11-6, 5-11, 11-3 in just 56 minutes. This marks Ng's second triumph over Soliman in four encounters, propelling him to his first PSA Tour semi-final since October last year.

Earlier on Wednesday, Ng had also recovered from a game deficit to defeat world No. 11 Aly Abou Eleinen of Egypt in a grueling 7-11, 4-11, 11-9 contest. The Malaysian plans to face off against either world No. 2 Paul Coll of New Zealand or world No. 15 Mohamed El Shorbagy of England in the final. Reflecting on his success, Ng admitted, "I wasn't really thinking too much about what I was doing; I was just carrying on the momentum from my last match."

Ng acknowledged that he made "sloppy shots" in the second game but managed to stay focused and confident to clinch the win. The player admitted that he has been struggling with his performance this year but has been working hard with his coach Hadrian Stiff, who has been helping him since last six months.
