Attempted coup: Defence Minister Musa provides update on alleged plan to remove Tinubu

The Minister of Defence, General Christopher Musa (rtd.), has provided an update on the alleged coup plot to remove President Bola Tinubu, according to statements given to Channels Television’s Politics Today. Musa stated that the Department of State Services (DSS) and the National Intelligence Agency (NIA) are continuing their investigation into the alleged plot.

General Musa confirmed that the suspects involved in the alleged coup had been taken to court and were currently facing trial. He emphasized that the plot was genuine, and the investigative agencies were taking their time to gather all the details before making any conclusions. General Musa expressed his belief that the alleged coup plotters were misguided individuals who acted without any reason. The plot, he said, was authentic, and the suspects' intention was to seize power.
