Anti-national forces harming India's unity will face consequences: Adityanath

Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath warned on Friday that those who attempt to create hatred in society or harm India's unity as anti-national and anti-social forces face consequences. He invoked Lord Krishna's teachings on protecting the righteous and destroying evil during a gathering in Mathura, Uttar Pradesh, on the second day of his visit ahead of Janmashtami.

Adityanath emphasized that the Bhagavad Gita's teaching of "Paritranaya sadhunam, vinashaya cha dushkritam" still guided society. He noted that Lord Krishna appeared 5,200 years ago to establish dharma, truth, and justice in Aryavarta. The Braj region had preserved its religious heritage and memories of Lord Krishna despite repeated invasions and attempts to impose other faiths on India.

Adityanath highlighted that those who dared to erase the Sanatan faith disappeared, but the memories of Krishna and Radha Rani continue to inspire generations. The CM welcomed devotees for Janmashtami and extended greetings to people of Uttar Pradesh on the festival celebrating the birth of Lord Krishna.
