Top 10: Man City lead all-time global transfer-window spending list with €526m

Manchester City has set a new record, becoming the club with the highest transfer spending in a single window, as they spent €526.2m during the 2026/27 summer transfer window. This marks the first time any club has crossed the €500m mark in a single transfer window, surpassing the previous record held by Liverpool. City's spending included the high-profile signings of Iliman Ndiaye from Everton for €70m and Enzo Fernández from Chelsea for €145m, the latter of which set a new British transfer record.

Despite their record-breaking expenditure, Manchester City generated €337m from player sales, resulting in a net spend of €189m. This record expenditure came amidst a summer of heavy spending across European football, with other clubs like Chelsea, Tottenham, and Newcastle United also entering the top 10 for the most expensive transfer windows in recent years.
