Tenchijin Joins “Science Castle Asia 2026” as Official Main Partner to Inspire Asia’s Next Generation of Researchers

KUALA LUMPUR, Malaysia – Tenchijin Inc., a pioneering space-tech innovator established as a joint venture with the Japan Aerospace Exploration Agency (JAXA), was honored to take on the role of Official Main Partner for “Science Castle Asia 2026,” an esteemed research conference for junior and senior high school students held on August 22–23 at Universiti Sains Islam Malaysia (USIM).

The prestigious event drew 150 student research teams from 11 countries, chosen from roughly 300 applications, and showcased projects on environmental conservation, water management, agriculture, healthcare, and artificial intelligence. Tenchijin demonstrated its satellite data solutions, such as the cutting-edge “KnoWaterleak” system, which was recognized during the student poster review.

Global Business Development Manager Ryotaro Horii delivered the Main Partner Remark, while Tenchijin presented four Tenchijin Poster Awards. Moreover, the company co-hosted an insightful workshop, "Eyes from Space: Solving Everyday Problems with Satellite Data," for approximately 400 students in collaboration with the Malaysian Space Agency (MYSA).

During this workshop, students engaged in live quizzes on satellite technology, and Yasuo Shirai, Vice President of Engineering at Tenchijin, showcased how optical, thermal-infrared, and radar satellites observe various aspects of Earth, including water, farmland, forests, and disaster areas. Shirai emphasized that satellite data holds its true power when combined with local knowledge and human insight.

His closing remarks highlighted the immense potential of satellite technology in addressing real-world challenges when utilized in conjunction with human expertise.
